Have you ever been a part of a moment that feels like a movie? That thing where time stops and it feels surreal and it seems like nothing else could possibly be happening at the same time in other parts of the world? THAT was Liz and Shawn‘s ceremony where I was a King Family Vineyards Wedding Photographer. It rained. Not a little. Not a drizzle. But not quite a down pour. Just a solid, unyielding rain. It began right before the processional and let up right as the ceremony ended… but here’s the thing: Not a single person flinched. No one moved. There were no whispers or wondering what to do. There was no one getting up and running for the awning. Everyone sat motionless, listening to their perfect vows, wiping away tears, and watching these two amazing people get married. Shawn and Liz gazed at each other as if nothing was happening and you could tell exactly how meant for each other they are. Their guests moved on to cocktail hour and the raging dance party hardly even noticing they had been drenched. Everyone celebrated. Everyone ate and drank and danced the night away. It’s definitely my favorite ceremony moment of all time. It was romantic and special and unforgettable and just goes to prove that things don’t always work out the way you plan them… and sometimes it turns into something even better.
