Hannah and Travis had a Boathouse at Rocketts Landing wedding.
While they live in DC, where we shot their engagement session, they actually got married in Richmond because they fell in love with the venue when they found it. I can’t argue with them on that point.
I’m always a sucker for an industrial location… and give me water and a cityscape backdrop and you can’t get much better.
It was super windy and a little rainy… but the weather held off and they got to get married outside next to the river.
They wanted a focus on documentary wedding photography… so I made sure to try and capture lots of images of little moments…
like the guys enjoying a drink at Stone before the wedding… or their guests watching the Capitals playoff game and Travis swinging a playoff towel around on the dance floor.
(For the record… I’ll never argue with getting to watch my Caps play WHILE I’m working a wedding.)
